| Lufia DS comes to US |

Estpolis: The Lands Cursed by the Gods is coming to North America, but Square Enix isn’t handling it. Harvest Moon and Witch’s Wish publisher Natsume is. A fitting choice considering Natsume published Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals for the Super Nintendo. The Nintendo DS game is a remake of Rise of the Sinistrals.
In North America, Estpolis will be known as Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals. A Twitter post announced the title and says more information is coming soon. While you’re waiting check out this trailer from the Japanese version.

Sweet. I would love to see an English version of the games. I love Lufia 2 for the SNES. From what I played of the DS version it's a pretty decent remake, even if they changed a lot of the story. I guess it's good so I won't be bored I guess. |

This is basically me just whining and complaining so my logic and actual points are muddled and might not be fair to all parties.
So about tlwiki(A wiki dedicated to translating eroge, visual novels, and doujin games publically)
My crappy and prejudiced description of what I am whining about(I would summarize this better with the whole thing going on, but few people really reads this livejournal anyways so I won't bother) :

So Eden(made by Minori) and Yosuga no Sora(Cuffs)fan translation projects were canceled because the companies owning the game told them to stop translating to protect their property, so the projects are canceled. Minori was being a dick and kept blanking out the eden project page data before waiting for a response, but at least Cuffs did it nicely and just asked them to stop.
I hope it doesn't lead to a future where fan translators quit or lose motivation quicker.
I don't know how I feel about this. Legally both companies want to protect their property, which is fine. If they brought their games over to the english speaking community I would buy it, although I admit not with mangagamer's expensive download only games. I wish I could play Kira Kira, Shuffle, and Da Capo without shelling out about $70.
I admit I download a lot of my games. But I have bought my own share of stuff. For example with Minori's products, I bought the drama cd's, songs, and the cd version of Wind -A Breath of Heart-. I probably jumped the gun since the series was generic in general, and A Certain Magical Index did everyone having powers better as an idea but I digress. I was a legitimate customer, but I lol with Minori blocking foreign IP's and making it so you can't play their games without a Japanese OS makes me lol.
I never would have had a chance to play Saya no Uta for example without tlwiki's project on it. And no company is going to release Symphonic Rain in English as a product, especially since it is all ages and a product made in 2004? I love that game so much now, but all ages visual novel games don't sell at all in general according to mangagamer at least. I have the people who worked on that at tlwiki to thank for that.
So basically, as someone who does buy games sometimes, I don't want bad press make companies cancel fan translations, legal matters aside and this is me being selfish in general. |

So I already spend 30 hours on Strange Journey within 4-5 days. Yessh. I love it but it's strange since I hated Nocturne. It's funny how both the angel side and demon side are more obvious asses then before.
Also wasting money on buying Super Street Fighter 4. Might sell some stuff on ebay to free up space if not lazy. |

Got the cd for the ds game. While there are a lot of tracks that sound the same, there are about 14 tracks that are different for the game.
Dunno if I like them enough to say they are better, but it's interesting. |
